Recursive refers to a process, a cycle, which repeats by applying its output back into its input as you see illustrated above. It’s a feedback loop.
The more you know
the more you can and will know
With the recursive, looping, nature illustrated above (raw data > Stimulus > curiosity > question > answer (more data/knowledge)), the more you know the more you can and will know (answers). The question is the process that transforms raw data into an answer; one that can be measured, critiqued or applied.
The loop is a knowledge generator. More data / knowledge are added to the raw data and our knowledge base grows. This base is then used for future questions and answers. Our decisions are based on this base of knowledge and decisions are only as good as the information and knowledge on which they are based. The more knowledge grows, the better our life decisions.
This is how an individuals, families and communities adapt, survive and thrive. In general, this accounts for much of the collective history of humankind. The accumulated answered questions of all prior humans become the starting stimulus for the next generation, dramatically shifting what's perceivable from birth.
With this knowledge generator loop we have come from invention of the wheel to landing on the moon; from an average life span of 47 years in the year 1900 to 79 years in the year 2026. This is 32 more years; 68% more life.
